Halloween in Vegas

Las Vegas is known to be one of the hardest partying cities in the world, so it comes as no surprise that spending Halloween in Vegas is a sure bet for party lovers. Everywhere you look there is something going on – themed parties, costume bashes, haunted villages and special Halloween offers from all the major casinos. Here is a little taste of what Las Vegas has to offer on Halloween, prepared by the Eleventy Traveler Blog.

Nightmare on 54th Street

One of the most famous Halloween Vegas celebrations is hosted by MGM Grand’s Studio 54 club. The 10th annual ‘Nightmare on 54th Street’ party promises to be spooky and sexy, packed with ‘naughty devils and erotic angels’. This event demands not only that the staff and guests show up in their best Halloween attire, but the club itself also undergoes a complete makeover. To complete the atmosphere, the walls and guts at Studio 54 are made to resemble scenes out of classic horror movies.

Fright Dome at Circus Circus

Ranked among the top five scariest haunted attractions in the US by AOL.com, this is the scary version of the Adventure Dome theme park. This is the first year for this event, hosted by the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino. Be prepared for 3D killer clowns lurking behind every corner, demons dropping from the sky, four scream-inducing Scare Zones and a two Haunted Ridefilms. The horror doesn’t stop there – you will enter several haunted houses, including the Chainsaw Massacre, the Morgue of Misery, and the Cavern of the Living Dead. Those names alone are enough to run chills through your spine.

Ghouls Gone Wild at the Harrah’s Hotel and Casino

Possibly the flashiest Halloween destination in Vegas, Ghouls Gone Wild is held annually at Harrah’s Carnaval Court, and is the only outdoor Halloween party on the Las Vegas Strip. Live music, tempting Halloween drinks and cash giveaways are a sure recipe for an awesome party. The highlight of the evening is the costume party. Costumes are judged by two categories – sexiest and most creative. The winners walk away with $5,000 in cash, so choosing the right costume can prove to be a smart investment. Admission is only $10 after 7pm.

Jet Halloween Ball at the Mirage

There are many ways to make money in Vegas, but here is one that will work only on Halloween night. The Jet Halloween Ball at the Mirage Hotel and Casino is where to go if you believe you hold the secret to a winning costume. The odds may be slim, due to all the tough competition, but the winner at this costume contest walks away with $20,000, making it the largest prize-pool in Vegas (for a costume contest, that is).

Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball

The name says it all. The Alexis Park Hotel and Casino will be taken over completely for the 12th annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball. There is no better night in the entire year than Halloween to surround yourself with some of the most bizarre and unusual outfits imaginable. Here are just some of the praises for this extraordinary event: The Travel Channel ranked it as ‘one of the top 10 events in the world’, while Maxim Magazine says it is ‘one of the five events to attend before you die’.

The top hotels and casinos offer great deals to accommodate the many visitors, and the great atmosphere makes the whole city feel like one big party. So if you still don’t know where you’re going to party on Halloween, Las Vegas is always a winning bet.
